Montana Tech Components AG adds three industry experts to its Supervisory Board: Mr.Raidl, Mr. Quandt and Mr. Höhener
Menziken, February 14, 2007 - Montana Tech Components AG (MTC) will expand its Supervisory Board at the extraordinary general meeting in Zurich on February 25, 2008. Dr. Claus Raidl, Sven Quandt und Emanuel Höhener will then join the Supervisory Board. The three new board members are renowned industry experts with many years of experience in the sector.
Dr. Raidl, who has a master’s degree in Business Administration, has been the CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Böhler-Uddeholm AG since 1991. Böhler Uddeholm AG is an international leader in specialty steel and materials production. Dr. Raidl has gained a lot of experience in managing positions at renowned industrial enterprises over the years. He was, for instance, Deputy Chairman of Voest-Apline AG, a member of the Executive Board of Voest-Apline AG and of ÖIAG - the Holding Company of state-owned Austrian Industries. Currently, he holds positions on the Supervisory Boards of Wiener Börse AG, Donau Versicherung AG and Wienerberger AG, among others. Since 2007, Dr. Raidl has again been on the Managing Board of Voest-Apline AG. The Austrian-born manager is married and has three children.
Sven Quandt comes from one of the most important German industrial dynasties. Already his grandfather Günther Quandt and his father Herbert had proven to have an extraordinary sense for business. At the age of 23, his father appointed him as member of the Supervisory Board of Varta AG and thus made him the youngest member of a supervisory board in Germany. Later on, he and three partners built up the company Schukra, making it the largest automotive supplier in the area of lordosis support. In the year 2000, the company was market leader and could be sold profitably. In addition to his current function as advisor for companies such as Heads Ahead, Sven Quandt has also been a member of the Supervisory Board of Varta AG and of various advisory boards, for instance at Hamburger Privatbank Wölbern.
Emanuel Höhener is another expert who will be appointed to the Supervisory Board of Montana Tech Components. The Swiss business man was CEO of Elektrizitäts-Gesellschaft Laufenberg AG (EGL) from 2000 to 2007. Mr. Höhener led the entire EGL Group, which comprises approx. 50 corporations, and held several board positions within the group. Since 2003 he has been a member of the management team of AXPO, a leading Swiss energy supplier. Before that, he held a leading position at Georg Fischer Disa Holding Ltd. - which employs close to 2,000 people-, New Sulzer Diesel Ltd. and other international industrial enterprises. Emanuel Höhener has a degree in Machine Engineering (ETH – Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich) and Marine Engineering; he is married and has a daughter.
