Supervisory board of Alu Menziken Holding AG resolves realignment to promote the further development of its Swiss unit

Menziken, November 7, 2007 - The supervisory board of Alu Menziken Holding AG decided at the board meeting on November 6, 2007, to realign Alu Menziken Group to promote its Swiss activities. Furthermore, the Supervisory Board was informed that a Swiss subsidiary of Montana Tech Components AG plans to make an offer to the minority shareholders of Alu Menziken Holding AG.

The Supervisory Board approved the reorganization of Alu Menziken Group by majority vote, which is, however, subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions by the banks and Swiss authorities. Paul Haering, who has until now been a member of the Supervisory Board of Alu Menziken Holding AG, did not want to support parts of the realignment program and thus resigned from his office.

Montana Tech Components AG and Alu Menziken Holding AG will hold a joint press conference at Alu Menziken Holding AG on November 14, 2007, at 10 a.m. to inform the public about the details of the planned realignment and the main features of the intended offer to the minority shareholders of Alu Menziken Holding AG. An invitation will be issued separately.
