MONTANA TECH COMPONENTS AG was established as an industrial group in 2006. The division companies, however, can look back on decades of tradition. For example, the division Energy Storage and the VARTA Micro Group emerged from the distinguished German battery group VARTA AG, which has a tradition extending back 125 years. The traditional Swiss company Alu Menziken, part of the Aerospace Components division, has been in existence for more than 115 years. The ASTA Group celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2014.
